Sometimes websites will place small data files on your computer. These are known as cookies.
They can improve your experience of the website by:
- - remembering settings, so you don’t have to keep re-entering them whenever you visit a new page
- - measuring how you use the website so we can make sure it meets your needs
We use very few cookies on this site and none of them are used to identify you personally. The cookies we use are simply to help us understand the usage of the website and to enable us to pass information from page to page when browsing the website. If you prefer us not to make use of these cookies please visit How to Control Cookies to find how to disable them for your browser. Otherwise, we assume that you agree to their use.
Measuring website usage (Google Analytics)
We use Google Analytics to collect information about how people use this site. We do this to make sure it’s meeting its users’ needs and to understand how we could do it better.
Google Analytics stores information about what pages you visit, how long you are on the site, how you got here and what you click on. We do not collect or store your personal information (e.g. your name or address) so this information cannot be used to identify who you are. We do not allow Google to use or share our analytics data.
The following cookies may be set by Google Analytics:
|_utma||randomly generated number||2 years|
|_utmb||randomly generated number||30 minutes|
|_utmc||randomly generated number||when you close your browser|
|_utmx||randomly generated number||2 years|
|_utmxx||randomly generated number||2 years|
|_utmz||randomly generated number and information on how the site was reached (e.g. direct or via a link, organic search or paid search)||6 months|
We also use a session cookie to help us track data while a user is browsing the website. This simply stores a session id (a randomly generated number unique to the session). This is used to remember the items in your basket. If you subsequently log in to place an order, the session id will help us maintain the details of the order until it is submitted. None of these details will be stored in cookies on your computer.

Our cookie control program also stores a cookie if you agree to allow cookies so you won't keep being reminded about them
